It's good for both but I'd call this more of a massage glide than a lubricant. It starts out the same but seems like eventually it soaks in and the skin just feels soft, not oily/slippery. Which is really great for massage, but not what I think of when I hear "silicone lube." I don't feel like I need to wash it off after. I still like using it during sex, it lasts longer than waterbased, but not as long as regular silicone.
